Testnet Mandara is now ready from a tech standpoint. We’ve tinkered, played with it and optimized it to our heart’s content. In the first phase, starting mid-May, we’ll open it to projects who have partnered with us. We will test the network with external payload and track feedback from the developers of our partner projects. This will be very valuable to us. Upon completion of this stage, we will open it up to the developer community via a hackathon. Thereafter, we’ll open it up to the community. We’re now working on the interface for all network actors to interact with the testnet. Hint: Gamification. Needless to say, we already have confirmation from several influencers who have agreed to be a part of the community before, during and after the gamification stage. Important to also note that the testnet will see participation from external validators as the team has been working closely with several of them for the past few weeks to onboard them.

As we close in on the testnet, we wanted to give our community a sneak preview of the progress made so far. Router Chain's test network will be called MANDARA. The name Mandara is inspired by a mythical mountain that churned the ocean to find solutions for early Earth's problems. Mandara is symbolic of our decentralized, trust-based collaboration, where strangers cooperated with each other for a common goal. With interoperability being the need of the hour, the Mandara network will provide a much-needed solution to bring blockchains together & leverage each other's benefits. Our internal testing of the network has been ongoing, with continuous optimization of the architecture. CIRCLE USDC Router Protocol partners with Circle to make $USDC Interoperable! We have integrated Circle's CCTP to our flagship cross-chain dApp Voyager (https://app.thevoyager.io/). Now live on Ethereum and Avalanche networks! Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) is a permissionless on-chain solution that allows for the burning of native USDC on a source chain and the minting of an equal amount of native USDC on a destination chain. CCTP will allow Router Protocol to offer a superior bridging experience while avoiding the TVL honeypot problem. We can now support large swaps even without maintaining large locked capitals. Testnet was scheduled for April but we have just made the decision to delay it until May reason being that: - We identified a few optimizations that can shape RC better - One of the most important ones is combining the flows of inbound, outbound and crosstalk modules. This will greatly optimise the gas fees - This requires an architectural change that is quite big since it needs modifications on RC, explorer, dapps built and gateway contracts - We prefer to do BEFORE testnet instead of DURING testnet since these changes impact the integration points for dapps and devs looking to integrate v2 - Once changes are implemented we need some time for stress testing internally
