Testnet was scheduled for April but we have just made the decision to delay it until May reason being that:
- We identified a few optimizations that can shape RC better
- One of the most important ones is combining the flows of inbound, outbound and crosstalk modules. This will greatly optimise the gas fees
- This requires an architectural change that is quite big since it needs modifications on RC, explorer, dapps built and gateway contracts
- We prefer to do BEFORE testnet instead of DURING testnet since these changes impact the integration points for dapps and devs looking to integrate v2
- Once changes are implemented we need some time for stress testing internally
